So I have a double ring. I used the vice and it worked great. The round ring is so much better

Hey, that’s my caption you’re using there for your profile image… good choice ;)

Okay so, I am obviously doing something wrong: grower here, not particularly girthy (3.2 diameter flacid), I shouldn't expect an abnormally high ring size.

All I have to test at the moment is a 50mm rubber washer, soft, slightly stretchy, round cross-section. It shouldn't be feeling uncomfortable even when flacid, and yet it does.

I ask because I am avoiding the 'thread around' method and still getting results like that, which I shouldn't.

Secondarily: is there a guerilla option to preliminary-test rings without ordering sizing rings nor being able to find substitutes in hardware stores? Would a ring made of wire be a suitable first step, for example?

Wire? I don't think so. If it's thin enough for you to work with, it would very likely cut into you.

And what's the shape of this washer? A base ring should probably have a cross section no smaller than a 6 mm circle.

Here's another source of rings: https://male-essentials.com/product/nitrile-rubber-cock-rings-rras/

What is your erect diameter (and I assume the 3.2 is in cm)?

CM, yes. Erect is something like 3.8?

The ring washer has a 3mm circle cross-section, so maybe that was the issue, yea.

And, love the link, but over here across the pond, shipping can be several times the product cost!

Quick question, how hard is it to bend the oval ring from MM to round?

With a vice, it's easy. You'll want to protect the ring though with heavy leather gloves on each side. I used an old leather belt.
